Radiological standard procedures in polytrauma cases (731)

Description
Literature course based on:

EPOS poster (ECR 2018/C-0267): "The Polytraumatized Patient from Head to Toe."

Learning objectives
• To present iconography of traumatic entities and describe the most frequent findings as well as rare discoveries
• To recognise every detail that the computed tomography (CT) shows on the politraumatized patient
• To expose the most common pathology in the different anatomic areas with clinical cases and images

EPOS poster (ECR 2025/C-17893): "Abdominal trauma: Insights from computer tomography (CT) imaging in the emergency setting"

Learning objectives
Through a series of comprehensive cases, we aim to illustrate abdominal trauma examples with different complexity levels, emphasising the importance to recognise classic, simple, and challenging, complex abdominal findings. This will, in turn, improve radiologic proficiency and diagnosis, consequently promoting a better treatment of the traumatic abdominal injuries.
